We've made some major strides on our trigger. With this trigger, there is no over travel screw to come loose and make the gun inoperable. People often fiddle with the over travel screw thinking it will change the weight of the trigger pull. On a 1911 format gun the trigger screw simply adjusts travel of the trigger. If in too far, the hammer will not fall and the screw blocks the rearward travel. It actually adds weight to the trigger pull!

These only fit single stack pistols.

We use Trigger bows made on original Videki dies. Videki was the industry standard for triggers. The face is almost flat with a very slight radius. The advantage here is that the center of your finger touches the serrations, giving you more feed back than a trigger that touches half way around your finger. If you catch the trigger up or down from the middle with a bad draw the trigger still feels comfortable. We not only stake the bow into the trigger, but we also red Loctite it in. If one system fails, the other is there to ensure a solid mount. We’ve tested our staking capabilities by twisting a bow with a pair of pliers from straight up to straight down. During this test, nothing moved in the stake area.

The trigger shoe is taller to allow fitting even in frames that are a little out of spec.

My FAVORITE 1911 trigger by far
I installed one of these on a Springfield Armory Loaded 9mm Target (gutted the entire gun and overhauled it) and it was by far the nicest feeling trigger I have ever used. Also the best looking. I have just ordered another one for the Rock Island that I am currently overhauling.

On the Springfield, after I actually fit the trigger to the frame, something magical happened... The overtravel was already perfectly set... I didn't have to fit that at ALL. Probably not the usual EXPIERENCE but it was defiantly kind of cool to essentially just be able to "drop in" an EGW trigger and have the overtravel perfectly set the way I would set it.

I had always been a fan of flat faced triggers and could not find a flat aluminum trigger that was long enough for me (i don't have overly large hands or fingers but I do like unusually long triggers). I found this one and decided I would "settle" for it even though it wasn't completely flat. I was pleasantly surprised once it was in the gun. I like it better than a normal flat trigger. The shape just works and really looks stellar. Doesn't have that flat trigger look that so many people don't like.

If I could give this trigger an extra star I would. It really changed the my gun and gives me perfect trigger placement every time I put my finger on the trigger without any effort or even having to practice (i shoot 500 rounds a week) that part because of the length of the trigger.

These triggers generally take a little extra time to install but if your on the fence about it, don't think about it, just buy it. It really is one of those things that you will leave on your gun for good.

The only negative point I can give this trigger is that they don't make it in black. I honestly don't understand why. I would really prefer to have a black one on my parkerized gun RIA but this really is a function over form thing. Yet it's still going to look way cooler than anything else I install. Nothing a little cerakoting job can't handle...

Thank you EGW for providing one of my favorite 1911 acessories!
