EGW uses the latest in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) Technology to manufacture compensators for the most popular handguns.
Although the rest of the industry relies on a variety of computer controlled mills, the array of angles and shapes that can be burned in by our EDM simply cannot be matched with CNC machines or conventional mills. The shapes and angles achieved with an EDM produce a greater surface area for the expanding gasses to push against. This yields a softer feeling comp for the shooter and less recoil effect. EDM also hardens the surface which provides a longer lasting lifespan to EGW EDM comps…longer than any other comp on the market.
Custom Comps available too! Call for details. Standard bore is .45 but can be bored out to other caliber sizes.
Note: EDM Compensators are made to order. Only one comp can be made in our EDM machine at a time. Therefore, it may take 4-6 weeks for an ordered compensator to be machined and shipped.
Orders containing EDM Compensators will ship in full, once the comp has is complete. Our office will hold all items ordered with the compensator until it is ready to ship.
