If you have a Remington 788, you can determine whether your mount is a standard or long action based upon what the gun is chambered in.

Flat back receivers were made in 3 different lengths until 2003.

Savage (With Accu-Trigger):
Round back, guns with accu-trigger after 2003 to date except Edge/Axis.
