Our bushings are thicker than normal bushings, thus needing a longer nose spring plug in order for the face of your pistol to sit flush. This is for aesthetics only; using your old spring plug will not affect the functionality of your gun. Machined from solid steel our spring plugs will fit any government or commander model 1911’s. Choose with End Hole for all full-length guide rod set ups. Choose with Solid End for GI spring guide set ups. Machined from either Blued Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel. I purchased one of these long-nosed spring plugs in stainless steel with the hole for use with a C&S one-piece full length guide rod. Works perfect! This is much better quality than the C&S plug. Thicker material and better manufacturing. And the long nose looks terrific! Thanks EGW!
