Product Details
We have found that suppliers of pin sets to the firearms industry are using leaded steel. You can easily cut leaded steel pins with wire cutters. Our pin sets are made from drill rod, which is a much stronger material. Our pins are manufactured to the GI 1911 print specifications with tighter tolerances.

THE BEST YOU CAN PROCURE ANYWHERE !!!!!!IN 2018, I DID A DETAIL STRIP, CLEAN, & LUBE ON A FELLOW "JARHEAD'S" .45 ACP 1911 G-M. MY INTENT WAS TO ONLY REPLACE THE OEM SPRINGS WITH A SET OF "ISMI" SILICON-CARBIDE SPRINGS, BUT NOTICED UPON DISASSEMBLY, THAT QUITE A FEW OF THE FRAME PINS PUSHED OUT WITH VIRTUALLY NO EFFORT.....BUMMER !!!! THE HAMMER & SEAR PINS WERE LOOSES ENOUGH TO PERMIT A SLIGHT "COCKING" OF THEIR RESPECTIVE PARTS & THUS WAS RESULTING IN VARIANCES IN TRIGGER PRESS WEIGHT & THE "RELEASE" WHEN THE SEAR NOSE & FRONT OF HAMMER HOOKS DISENGAGED !!!!!! SO OUT WITH THE OLD PINS & IN WITH THE NEW ONES---WOW !!!! NOT TOO TIGHT & NOT TOO LOOSE, BUT JUST RIGHT. ALL I DID WAS LUBE & INSTALL AS NOT ONE REQUIRED ANY "SPIN POLISHING" WITH A DRILL BEFORE INSTALLATION---"ATTA-BOY" EVO-GUN-WORKS.....RAH !!!!
